How to Grow parsley in indoor herb garden?

i have a small pot with some parsley seed and soil in it, I hope to grow the parsley inside. I have a place to put in a window facing south. My main question is, how water properly? someone told me it has to be watered frequently, but be careful not to saturate, so I'm not so sure how much water should be given or how often. thanks

Well .. you want to make sure the soil is moist and not dry out completely between waterings. While your young you want to be careful not to over water, obviously, this goes for all the time but be especially sensitive when young. Check every few days, depending of how hot / sunny is the place. Certainly it is not necessary that every day, but it goes a week between waterings may be too long.

How can I plant these seeds to grow herbs inside?

I've never grown anything before now, but I'm starting an indoor herb garden. I found some sites for the basics .. I have a carton of eggs filled with potting soil and some holes through the bottom into a pan with some water. I have it sitting on top of my stereo for now to keep warm soil (I was outside and rather cold, now is a bit hot to the touch). The problem is that I do not know how many seeds to put in each section or depth to push in! All sites claim to follow the direction on the package, but the envelopes are blank. I: basil (common) Chives (common) Oregano (common) Cilantro Dill "Bouquet" Parsley Italian Seeds vary in size .. I do not know if I should just put one per section or more if some do not.
