would a marijuana plant grow under a black light?

okay. i don't smoke it or anything. but this kid was telling me that a pot { marijuana} plant wouldn't grow under a black light. so i was like yeah they will because the black light is a source of ultra violet light.
so I'm thinking it will work cause the ultra violet light. I'm just trying to figure it out and see if I'm right or wrong.

I doubt it highly, if it did then it woudl be terribly unhealthy. plants need certain parts of the light spectrum, the reds and yellows and purples. rememebr also that there are 2 types of ultra violet - A and B, and so what type the light is and what type the plant needs is a huge factor.

In conclusion, if you're growing, don't bother with the rave theatrics.. give your Buds what they want.. good clean healthy full spectrum lights, plenty of water, and good air to breathe =]]
